The Supervisor, Facilities Projects has primary accountability for the management and reporting of project deliverables executed by the Facilities Project Management Office (PMO), including third party services providers. Provides oversight and guidance associated with resource assignments, scope definition, executed project structures, changes and evolutions of project budgets and schedule adherence. Ensures projects are coordinated and executed for optimum safety, reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness. Responsible for overall project goals and validating project results meet or exceed sponsor and stakeholder expectations. Leads and develops individuals and teams by using people management processes and tools that involve staffing, training, supervising, coaching, and performance management to achieve optimal performance.
Minimum Requirements
- A four year Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Facility Management, Project Management or other job related field from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of experience in Engineering, facility management, construction management, project management or other job related discipline.
- In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and experience equaling eight (8) years is required.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: - Previous supervisory experience.
- Understanding of project management processes, principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrated high quality oral, written and presentation communication skills, high quality interpersonal and people management skills.

Major Accountabilities
1) Accountable for project/program execution for "run and maintain" to "extreme complexity construction and furniture" projects as required to ensure project success and achievement of anticipated results in accordance with APS business drivers and governance structure. Facilities' capital budgets managed ranges from $20M - $40M annually.
2) Identifies and manages capital portfolio risks and opportunities. Develops and communicates mitigation plans at the portfolio level.
3) Develops and maintains relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners, including industry associations, vendors, contractors and peer utilities. Effectively negotiates in order to provide for the equitable resolution of issues that may surface.
4) Ensures adherence and recommends improvements to enterprise project management processes and procedures.
5) Oversees the creation of project management plans and provides oversight to ensure plans are maintained and progress is tracked. Plans should ensure adequate change management plans are in-tact to minimize impact and disruption to business operations and Facilities customers, and ensures target customer satisfaction levels are met. Develops and reports appropriate metrics such that project status and progress can be tracked by leadership.
6) Responsible for staffing, training, salary administration and performance management of personnel.
7) Collaborates with Supply Chain Management in the procuring and administrating of major service contracts, to include oversight of additional Project Management support resources and execution of Furniture Services.
8) Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new and changing processes, technologies, codes or regulations that may impact work of team.
9) Validates work executed complies with Facilities standard design criteria and equipment specifications.
10) Performs project post-implementation reviews and analysis to assess success of project execution and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
