Seattle City Light's Fleet and Mobile Equipment Office is looking to hire a Capital Projects Coordinator, Assistant. This position will design and upfit the light duty side of our fleet replacement plan utilizing green technologies. It will also be developing green fleet strategies to meet our environmental goals. The CPC Assistant will assist the other team members on their capital projects coordinating licensing, facilitating equipment training, and processing change orders. This position will report to the Fleet Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop equipment specifications for light duty equipment including cars, pickups, forklifts, lawnmowers, trailers, and other offroad light duty equipment utilizing green technologies.
- Conduct meetings with operators and teams to design equipment which meets operational needs of the utility.
- Communicate and facilitate Build meetings with vendors and internal customers.
- Prepare all new equipment for release and dispose of all out of service auction equipment.
- Research/analyze fleet data and submit reports to organizations such as the Energy Policy Act (2005), Clean Cities, PSEG and various others.
- Update Fleet Portal Access logs regularly.
- Support Senior Capital Projects Coordinator as needed with purchasing, licensing, training etc.
- Collaborate with FAS to keep the FMIS (Fleet Management Information System) updated.
- Work with SCL Shops, outside vendors, operators, and supervisors on vehicle modifications.
- Communicate and work with Cost Accounting on work orders, capital costs, and relay information regarding current fleet status.
- Become a member of the Incident Management Logistics unit and support the Incident Management Team when activated.
- Be in rotation for after hours on call which requires phone support standby overnight and on weekends.
