Position Description
- Responsible for the operation of trucks and tractor trailers in support of the operation, maintenance, and construction of Santee Cooper's generating stations, transmission systems, dams, dikes, and properties. Transports bulk materials in excess of 24.50 tons to and from specified destinations. This position may be required to work out of town on a continuous basis and be on 24-hour on call status.
- Completes Pre-Trip inspection at beginning of each work day. Transports bulk materials such as DSM, soil, aggregates, limestone, ash, gypsum, debris, and various materials in support of construction and operation needs in a safe manner.
- Grease/lubricate trailer twice weekly or as needed. Attend mandated training. Wear reflective safety vests and all required PPE equipment.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED +2 years related experience.
- Must possess an unrestricted valid class "A" (Except P) CDL License with appropriate endorsements.
