Position Summary
Utilizing project management tools and methodologies, leads the development and implementation of complex initiatives and technical and non-technical business projects or administrative projects from inception to closeout, managing the scope, schedule and cost. There are typically no direct reports; rather people and other resources are indirectly managed as part of a project team.
The Business Project Manager, Expert provides office and field support for MSEA department including reporting and data acquisition support, organizational change management, project management communications, training, updating of standards and procedures, compliance monitoring, project quality assurance, data quality assurance, audit coordination, continuous improvement and support of other evolving processes. Travel may be required up to 25% for this position.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $ 118,000
Bay Area Maximum: $ 188,000
Job Responsibilities
- Define project scope and objectives
- Develop and manage project plans, implement earned value methodologies to track progress to plans
- Establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities
- Obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans
- Obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained; identify, analyze, and address project performance issues.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
- Communicate project status to all stakeholders; assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required
- PMP certification required
- 8 years related experience
