Position Summary
This position's primary function is to provide managerial oversight to ensure the Transmission Planning organization meets compliance with associated FERC, NERC, and ERCOT standards. Incumbent will oversee and direct the development of procedures and processes that will ensure compliance as well as oversee that supporting documentation used as evidence of compliance meets the requirements of the various standards.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 office days minimum, based in our 777 Main St - Fort Worth location. We are considering applicants with multiple experience levels and skills. Please review the "education & experience" section for more details regarding each level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct a technical service group to provide in-house support to Transmission Planning to ensure Oncor remains compliant with FERC, NERC, and ERCOT standards.
- Direct the development of procedures and processes that meet and will ensure compliance with NERC standards.
- Serve as subject matter expert on standards associated with Transmission Planning.
- Monitor overall system planning programs to ensure compliance.
- Direct the development of the Transmission Planning compliance evidence SharePoint.
- Direct the development and implementation of written procedures for Annual Planning Assessment and other studies performed in accordance with regulatory compliance.
- Support management to ensure they are aware of changes in NERC standards and are fully aware of their obligations to stay compliant.
- Serve as Transmission Planning's representative with NERC, Texas RE or other regulatory agencies.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with industry colleagues such as peer utility staff, ERCOT staff, and other stakeholders to effectively resolve issues of common need and interest.
- Actively participate in ERCOT and NERC working groups and task forces, contributing expertise to guide industry practices and ensure Oncor's compliance with relevant standards.

Education Requirement:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
Experience Requirement(s):
- Applicants with Familiarity with the Oncor transmission system and with ERCOT practices associated with ERCOT transmission planning, operation, and modeling including the ERCOT Planning Guide, Operating Guides, and Protocols encouraged to apply.
