Description
The following statements describe the daily duties required for this position:
- Selects appropriate tooling and feed speeds according to material being cut and operations to be performed.
- Performs any combination of cuts such as facing, boring, tapping, and threading.
- Burr, clean and protect machined parts as required.
- Inspects and gages own work in process.
- Responsible for quality and efficiency of work performed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience performing machine set-up.
- Minimum of 2 years experience performing the operation of manual engine lathes.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and ability to utilize machine shop measuring instruments.
- Instruments include but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, etc.
