DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Supply Planning Coordinator - Level IV to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Efficient Material Planning : By determining the quantity and order date for materials, you will support complex business processes such as new product launches and campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate material availability.

  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance : Reporting any work-related incidents and complying with HSE standards will help maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Quality Assurance : Following standard work procedures and performing quality checks on material planning data will ensure high standards and support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) initiative.

  • Effective Delivery Management : Managing part change requests and coordinating inventory activities will help meet global aftermarket demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Regulatory Compliance : Taking ownership of Hazmat part setup and ensuring compliance with Cummins guidelines and government regulations will ensure safe and lawful operations.

  • Continuous Improvement : Participating in improvement projects and conducting root cause analysis for excess and obsolete inventory will drive process enhancements and operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration and Communication : Working closely with Product Management, Purchasing, and other support teams will ensure effective communication and coordination, leading to successful project outcomes.

  • Team Development and Training : Engaging in training and personal development, as well as supporting team improvement projects, will contribute to a knowledgeable and capable team, aligned with business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Complex Problem-Solving Skills : Effectively make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems.

  • Materials Planning Expertise : Utilize the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking corrective actions based on root cause analysis and leveraging tools like Excel and Access when necessary.

  • Change Management Proficiency : Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

  • PFEP Application : Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place, ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain.

  • Master Supply Scheduling : Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule that meets customer expectations and maximizes operational efficiency.

  • KPI Management : Operate in relation to recent or historical outputs to drive improvement, assess gaps in supply chain performance, and strategically balance trade-offs to influence KPIs while minimizing negative impacts.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience. 5-7 years of work experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information

  • Bachelor's degree or above preferred

  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel

  • Analytics and project management skills

  • MRP experience

  • Experience in VPI related area is preferred.

  • End to end supply chain knowledge (from customer demand management to supply planning)
