COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

Lead Accountant Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $123,700.00

Senior Accountant Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $96,900.00

Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior or Lead Accountant! 

Are you a detail-oriented, highly skilled accounting professional with a deep expertise in fixed asset and prepaid maintenance accounting? We're looking for someone just like YOU to lead our accounting team in a pivotal role that shapes the financial backbone of our organization!

As a Senior or Lead Accountant, you'll take charge of managing the entire lifecycle of fixed assets from acquisition and depreciation to disposal ensuring precision and compliance every step of the way. You'll also oversee prepaid maintenance accounting, guaranteeing timely amortization and accurate expense recognition. But that's not all! You'll be instrumental in high-level accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, and driving process improvements to streamline operations.

A Day in the Life:

  • Manage fixed asset activities (acquisition, depreciation, disposal).
  • Oversee accounting for prepaid maintenance agreements, ensuring proper amortization and expense recognition.
  • Prepare journal entries for accurate recording of fixed assets and prepaid maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Cash and Accounts Payable, Controller, and other team members on financial analysis and ad hoc assignments.
  • Perform ongoing detailed analytical review of GL accounts
  • Perform month-end closeout duties including account reconciliations
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy across accounting functions.

To be successful in the role we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field
  • Lead: Ten (10) years of job-related experience in an accounting or finance-related environment with at least 3 years as senior staff
  • Senior: Five (5) years of job-related experience in accounting processes and transactions as listed above.
  • Experience with financial report preparation, variance analysis, and process documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word in performing and preparing financial analysis, financial statements and reports, process documentation, proposals, recommendations, and presentations to management.
  • Lead assigned processes with minimal or no supervision
  • Ability to effectively work with staff accountants and confidently provide support to them when necessary
  • Strong interest and skills to identify, research, facilitate, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical, inquiry and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise an appropriate degree of professional skepticism
  • Communicate effectively with accountants, engineers, management and senior management verbally and in writing
  • Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software
