AltaGas - Maintenance Summer Student, Fort Saskatchewan
Join AltaGas for an exciting 4-month term as a Summer Student on our Maintenance team at our Fort Saskatchewan Plant! This role is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the gas midstream industry and apply your enthusiasm to learn about AltaGas' business.

What You'll Do:
- Maintain a safe work environment by prioritizing the safety and well-being of yourself and others.
- Get hands-on experience with painting buildings, signage, and piping.
- Maintain the plant's aesthetics with grass cutting, tree-pruning, maintaining flower beds, and general cleanup.
- Provide administrative support to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Assist with organizing the warehouse and stocking shelves.
- Support Operations and Maintenance personnel as required (i.e. picking up supplies from town, entering work orders, documenting procedures, etc.).
- General site cleanup and disposal.
- Engage in special projects to broaden your skills and knowledge.
What You Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's AB license.
- Ability to work from early May to late August 2025.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or labour role is considered an asset.
- A strong safety mindset, and a collaborative team player
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Self-starter, with a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with oil and gas terminology is a bonus.
- WHIMIS, First Aid, and H2S Alive certifications are a bonus.
- Forklift or skid steer certification is a bonus.
