Job Summary
This position specializes in the planning and execution of Security Physical Protection System(PSCS) upgrade and replacement projects, and coordinates with the Site Security Team the necessary resources and training of the Physical Security Operations Team.Additional duties includes the oversight of health and performance of the PSCS, coordinates with PSCS Vendors and Engineering on solutions of trending issues, and Operation Performance Improvement (OPI).
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Provides direct project planning and project execution of security system upgrades, replacements, and technology reviews for the Vistra Fleet.
- Provides written analysis and conclusion on system health based upon data and evaluation of performance of systems, equipment, work activities, and programs within the PSCS.
- Directs and supports the Site Security Administration analysis and evaluation of equipment and uses expertise to solve problems and recommend corrective action.
- Assist in the evaluation of industry proposals. Regulations and guidelines to determine impact to security activities, programs and processes.
- Coordinates Vendor reviews and provides the recommend courses of corrective action to address existing and emerging situations with the security PSCS.
- May serve as a technical subject matter expertise within defined area of expertise.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or 10 years equivalented related nuclear expertise in system designs.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct project management.
- Knowledge of plant equipment, systems and processes.
- Technical expertise within assigned discipline.
- Understanding of regulations, codes, standards, policies and procedures pertinent to nuclear security and cyber security.
- Project Management Certification, desired.
