Position Summary
Join our team at PGE as a Physical Security Safeguard Manager - a vital role focused on protecting our most valuable members and assets. In this dynamic position, you will coordinate resources to mitigate risks and ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed surveys, planning future site visits, and managing the logistics of securing various sites and events. This role involves overseeing every aspect of the physical environment, which includes controlling access points, monitoring movement, and managing site surroundings. You will also be responsible for thorough emergency preparedness and contingency planning.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will manage the secure transportation of our key members, stepping in as the primary driver when necessary. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll work closely with internal teams, security contractors, and law enforcement agencies to implement robust security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Security Staff Management: Collaborates with other security supervisors to manages a team of security professionals responsible for protecting the organization's employees and physical assets through investigations and enforcement of security policies and practices; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose. Oversees executive protection and relevant policy changes.
Security Leadership: Manages the design and implementation of security and protection practices. Manages incidence response. Ensures collaboration with appropriate state, local and federal authorities. Manages the implementation of process improvements and best practices.
Internal and External Relations: May represent the company in formal security briefings, deliberations, conferences or negotiations to influence security policies, objectives and regulations so that security systems may be applied to greater advantage.
Financial Management: Monitors and manages expenditures, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examines any areas where budgets/expenditures vary from plan; assists with the definition and operation of effective financial controls and decision making.
Resourcing: Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team; partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation and selection processes.
Professional Development: Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress, provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Certifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, or other related field or equivalent experience. Experience - preferred ten or more years in law enforcement or a related field with at least five years in leadership, formal or informal.
Must be able to obtain an Armed Professional certification through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST). Must be able to obtain a Supervisor Manager certification through DPSST, within the first 3 months of employment.
Valid driver's license required.
