As the Business Account Executive for WBS, you will proactively prospect and pursue your own sales leads and opportunities for a company that provides strategic, value-added technology solutions. WBS is a division of Tipmont that primarily serves small- or medium-sized businesses, as well as several larger operations.
You'll be the friendly, expert and attentive face of WBS for new and existing customers - learning about their businesses, consulting on their goals and meeting their unique technology needs. While this is an office-based position, you must be eager to explore our communities for exceptional opportunities you can successfully convert to sales.
Duties that intrigue you include:
- Generating, prospecting & pursuing new leads through external networks & cold calls
- Engaging current & potential customers with tailored growth & efficiency opportunities
- Developing & deepening customer connections with strategic, long-term relationships
- Understanding communication & technology needs of small- / medium-sized businesses
- Leveraging your knowledge of the many industries we serve to proactively suggest solutions
- Presenting our products & services to clients and highlighting their features & benefits
- Maintaining awareness of industry trends, product development & competitor activities
- Consulting customers on their key industry trends, needs or pain points to help close sales
- Drafting can't-miss Request for Proposal (RFP) responses for potential / current customers
- Managing complex negotiations with confidence toward mutually beneficial outcomes
- Working with vendors & suppliers to assist with quotes & updating customers on lead times
- Collaborating with sales / technical teams to ensure successful delivery & implementation
- Participating in community engagement activities to network & identify potential customers
- Creating productive & positive relationships with key local decision-makers & influencers
- Preparing and delivering regular sales reports, forecasts & progress updates to leadership

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, business or a related field
- Two to five years of outside sales and / or B2B sales experience
- Experience in & knowledge of fiber broadband technology
- Strong understanding of technical products / services & their applications
- Enterprise-level understanding of technology & business strategies for customer solutions
- Discerning ability to prospect customers with the highest potential for sales conversions
- Demonstrated ability to develop new, long-term opportunities, partnerships & relationships
- Ability to work both independently & as part of a team
- Familiarity with CRM software & sales analytics tools
