Performs multiple storeroom operations, maintenance, and material management tasks. Unloads and loads material within their designated storeroom and outdoor storage locations. Processes multiple material requests including local stock replenishment, designed kitted materials, shipping, receiving, and material assessments for reclamation. Collaborates with other departments to ensure materials and supplies are available to meet requirements in accordance with operations scheduling and emergency demand. Performs various administrative, clerical, and storeroom duties to ensure the efficient flow of business.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Routine duties based on detailed instruction. Works under direct supervision. Responds to routine questions and problems within standards and guides. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor daily inventory of stock to ensure adequate supplies are on hand and reconciles differences.
Issue material via barcoding and/or computer for maintenance or daily orders. Deliver and stage items in the appropriate areas.
All other duties as assigned.
Responsible for properly disposing materials according to the company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws.
Perform daily inspection of material handling equipment to ensure proper maintenance and a safe, dependable operation.
Load and unload freight, stock, and material (i.e. inbound, outbound, and returned excess) to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or other contract vehicles, by hand or using warehousing equipment.
Sign freight bill or shipping documents for material received. Verify and inspect materials or supplies delivered for completeness and quality against information in its respective work orders or purchase orders.
Assist on-site contractors.
Provide a central point of contact with the business units for problem resolution, inventory, and warehousing needs.
Responsible for the receipting, handling, and shipping documentation for hazardous material and maintain the necessary logs, files, and test reports for compliance.
Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure designated working areas are orderly and safe.
Work on a team with other material members during special projects and ICS emergency outage work.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of material handling experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work may be performed in warehouse atmosphere with moderate exposure to heat, cold and noise.
May be required to work non-standard work schedules to include nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime, and call-outs.
May be required to be periodically available for after-hours emergencies.
May requires extensive daily travel.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
