Provides technical expertise, guidance and overall support to OG&E in complying with federal, state and local air quality regulations. Coordinates and contributes technically to challenging air quality compliance assurance, permitting and related compliance projects for OG&E. Serves as technical professional for interfacing with air quality regulatory agencies and other parties and is responsible for maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

General responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under limited supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for submitting and maintaining required monitoring reports, associated recordkeeping, records management and data requests (semi-annual reports, excess emission reporting, inspection record requests, etc.).

Responsible for air permitting and compliance for all existing and future projects to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

All other duties as assigned.

Analyzes the impact of calculated air emissions, current and proposed air quality regulations and proposed projects with respect to air quality concerns for OG&E facilities.

In conjunction with OGE Energy Corp, administers the division wide collection of privileged and confidential information pertaining to air quality environmental compliance issues within restrictive time limits (i.e., 30 days).

Performs internal environmental assessments of air activities at affected facilities.

Works with external consultants in the development of permit applications and air quality studies.

Analyzes governmental orders on inspection deficiencies and recommends corrective measures to the facilities and reports appropriate action information to agencies.

Responsible for communicating with management, affected personnel and state and federal regulators to ensure compliance.

Works with Federal and State regulatory agencies in negotiating permit conditions and other compliance issues.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering (i.e. Chemical/Environmental), Physical Science (i.e. Chemistry/ Physics, Environmental Science, etc.), or Mathematics, and 3 years experience in an electric utility, industrial facility, or a regulatory agency with exposure to an electric utility; Or

In lieu of Bachelor of Science Degree, a registered P.E. and 3 years experience in an electric utility, industrial facility, or a regulatory agency with exposure to an electric utility to include Environmental or Chemical Engineering experience.
