Description
The IT Business Analyst must have strong communication skills to work with cross functional teams. The primary responsibilities include being a liaison between IT and business teams, improving the quality of IT Project deliverables by analyzing business needs and ability to help with the functional steps within a software development life cycle. Experience with documenting and eliciting requirements is required. Self-starter with initiative and ability to manage multiple deliverables at the same time is preferred. Background with Waterfall and Agile is preferred.
- Establish relationships with business and IT to understand how operational processes work with technical systems.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Develop and analyze functional specifications.
- Analysis of technical characteristics for IT systems
- Partner with Developers, Project Managers and QA Testers to collect and explain project requirements.
- Partner with Business and IT for various cycles of defining requirements.
- Openness to cross train and help with other PMO roles as needed.
- Willingness to work in a fluid environment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years+ of experience working as an IT Business Analyst and supporting project-based work
- Strong understanding of principles associated to gathering requirements
- Strong problem solving skills
- Willingness to wear multiple hats and work with Project Management and QA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
