WGL - Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives
Responsible for leading and driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives across the organization. This role will work closely with executive leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement strategic initiatives that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives. This role will also require direct project management of high-profile non-core initiatives that do not have an existing business owner.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Identify strategic initiatives that align with the organization's strategic direction.
Evaluate and prioritize initiatives that best support the organization's objectives and available resources.
Lead and manage strategic initiative programs from inception to completion.
Project Management:
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and team members.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree business administration, project management, or a related field preferred
Master's Degree preferred
7+ Years of program management experience with demonstrated success leading teams. required
PMP required
Proven experience in strategic planning, program management, or consulting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Knowledge of gas utility industry trends and best practices preferred.
