Provide Management of Engineers assigned to the Design Digital - Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Branch.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Managing workload and priorities of the Digital - I&C Branch.
Providing Management oversight of Design Engineering tasks including Engineering Changes, Design Analyses, Critical Digital Reviews, and Technical Evaluations.
Ensuring compliance with Regulatory Required Programs such as the Corrective Action and Environmental Qualification (EQ) Programs
Providing Design Management support of both On-Line and Refueling Outage activities, License Change Requests, Emergent design related requests, Operability Determination, etc.
Managing Engineering costs associated with O&M and Capital Projects
Candidate must be available to support and manage shift coverage for refueling outages and emergent plant issues.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
BS Degree in Engineering
Minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience, preferably within commercial nuclear power setting. Familiar with PWR and/or BWR operations.
Familiar with INPO Engineering Design expectations and the ability to drive site improvement to achieve sustained excellent performance.
Demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities and adaptive ways of doing business.
Demonstrated leadership skills to manage a diverse workforce.
Must meet Nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access
Must meet US Dept of Energy requirements for access to nuclear technology information under 10 CFR 810.
Desired:
BS Degree in Electrical or Controls
Experience related to either electrical and/or instrumentation and controls (I&C)
Advanced Engineering Degree and/or PE License
Three (3) or more years of experience in an engineering supervisory/leadership position.
Procurement Engineering Knowledge or Experience
Possess the understanding and use of applicable Reg. Guides, NUREGs, IEEE, and ISA standards as they relate to design engineering activities.
