The Opportunity
Our ICS & Data Center team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Charleston to support our SCADA environment.
We are seeking an Infrastructure Specialist who has knowledge and experience in Intel Hardware, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Virtualization, and Storage. This individual has the proven skills, competencies, and capacity to work closely with application teams, end users, IS security, project management, DBAs, and network operations staff will be required to provide a continuous uptime experience.
What you'll do
- Support ongoing safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical IS systems through maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, corrective action, and administration of multiple infrastructures.
- Install security updates and maintain server hardware
- Identify root cause failure and take appropriate action to remedy
- Replace failed desktops, laptops and thin clients
- Administration of HP server hardware
- Verify the installation of security patches
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ experience in server administrative support
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technical diploma in a related discipline
- MCSE/MSITP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, and management.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user/computer account administration.
- Experience with Windows Server roles and features, such as file/print sharing, DHCP, DNS etc.
This position requires candidates to:
- Be part of an on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required
