Position Description
- Line Technicians assist in the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution facilities to provide reliable electric service to customers.
Essential Job Tasks:
- Demonstrate safety consciousness to work in proximity of high voltage electrical equipment.
- Be mentally competent.
- Able to communicate.
- Able to comprehend instructions and learn from experience.
- Be committed to team work and be able to work with others.
- Work after-hour emergency callouts in all kinds of weather conditions.
Position Requirements
Positions will be in one of the following locations:
Conway North Myrtle Beach Myrtle Beach Garden City
Location assignments are based on manpower needs. Candidates who are geographically flexible are preferred. You must be willing to relocate in order to meet the reporting requirements. If selected for this position, you may receive an offer of employment with a location yet to be determined. Relocation assistance is available when applicable.
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Course work or knowledge of electricity.
- Valid South Carolina driver's license with good driving history.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Pole climbing proficiency within six months after employment.
- Excellent physical condition.
