Energy Analyst II / Analyst, Senior | Energy Settlements

In this role, you'll leverage your analytical skills to monitor, audit, and report on energy market activities while contributing to critical filings like FERC Form 1 and EQR.
What your day would be like:
You are responsible for:
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and audit transactional activities to ensure alignment with regulatory and enterprise risk compliance standards.
- Market Transactions: Ensure that organized market transactions, including the CAISO Energy Imbalance Market, are efficiently and accurately accounted for, invoiced, and reported.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and report monthly and quarterly business unit activities, contributing to enterprise transparency and decision-making.
- Regulatory Filings: Prepare and complete filings such as FERC Form 1 and FERC EQR, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Contract & Financial Management: Work with energy contracts and develop, implement, and maintain financial reports and reconciliation processes.

Minimum Requirements
Energy Analyst II | Energy Settlements
- BS degree in Business, Accounting or Finance AND two (2) years' related experience in financial analysis/reporting or data analytics
- OR advanced degree in applied data analytics, data science or statistics and prior practical related work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
Energy Analyst, Senior | Energy Settlements
- BS degree in Business, Accounting or Finance AND three (3) years experience in accounting reconciliation, energy billing, or financial reporting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Some positions may require experience working with the administration of energy contracts and the development, implementation and maintenance of financial reports and spreadsheets.
- A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- Some positions may require a general understanding of commodity trading,
- Risk Management, and options valuation as it relates to energy markets, resource generation and transmission system concepts.
Preferred skills, knowledge or qualifications
- Knowledge of the applied use of energy accounting processes and related auditing techniques.
- Experience in account reconciliation, energy billing, financial reporting or the applied use of energy accounting processes and related auditing techniques
- Knowledge of risk management procedures
- General knowledge of trading activities and energy products
