Description
What you'll do
* Work with internal clients to define survey scope and budget for a variety of legal and engineering survey tasks related to BC Hydro projects.
* Supervise/mentor internal field and office personnel to deliver legal and engineering survey products.
* Act as BC Hydro Representative on contracts for survey tasks being completed on behalf of BC Hydro by external survey contractors across the province. * Work closely with the BC Hydro properties management group to ensure BC Hydro interests are properly secured/ maintained.
* Act in an advisory role on BC Hydro projects with regards to Geodesy, spatial data management/quality, land tenure, Legal/Engineering surveys, contract management etc. * Manage/monitor quality control processes to ensure all products meet BC Hydro and survey industry standards.
* Manage/monitor project status, data retention/archiving, correspondence, close-out etc.
* Maintain productive relationships with a variety of government agencies (LTSA, NRCAN, MOTI, Municipalities, etc.).
