Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Natural Gas IS Solutions, Plan & Build, the Portfolio architect is responsible for collaboration with portfolio stakeholders to develop supporting strategies and technology roadmaps, optimization of digital assets to reduce costs and complexity, and assurance of secure and cost-effective solution delivery. This role also provides assessment and design services during evaluation of incoming technology products and services.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Information Services Business Partners (ISBPs) in the creation of supporting strategies, roadmaps, and investments to achieve the objectives of our Business Partners.
- Work with business and technology experts to translate business strategy and outcomes into technology solutions.
- Collaborate with ISBPs and Operations to eliminate duplicate and unnecessary digital assets, reducing 3rd party costs.
- Work with IS Operations to identify and analyze optimization opportunities related to portfolio IS Digital Assets.
- Reduce technology complexity and improve portfolio health for key capabilities.
- Oversee architecture delivery across IS portfolios to ensure solutions are secure, fit-for-purpose, and cost-effective.
- Oversee Solution Architect Project Onboarding. Provide Governance and Escalation Support for Solution Architecture including conducting the design review process
- Provide Conceptual Design, Technology, and Security Standards Assessment services within Business Application Assessment (BAA) Process.
- Provide Architecture representation for RFI / RFQ / RFP processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an architectural or leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing technology roadmaps and optimizing digital assets.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud environment and various software from different vendors, including SaaS solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio management and governance.
- Strong understanding of RFP processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Spanish fluency is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar would be a plus.
- Experience in the energy sector is preferred
