As the Compliance and Licensing Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Global Compliance Director and Global Licensing Manager in day-to-day administration of the ethics and compliance program and global licensing. #LI-NK1 #LI-Hybrid
The Team
Black & Veatch's Business Enablement consists of critical groups that help enable the organizations people, projects, and businesses to be as successful as possible. Functions in this group include Digital & Information Technology, Global Finance, Global Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and Government Affairs and Real Estate and Building Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Company's Global Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Support the Company's licensing and registration function.
- Assist with evaluating and periodically updating compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain records to ensure compliance with domestic and international licensing and registration requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of training, online resources, and communication materials for compliance program.
- Support due diligence review process and assist with vetting of potential joint venture partners, agents, and vendors.
- Research and analyze licensing and compliance related issues.
- Maintain electronic records.
- Works under supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve).
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and creative when confronted with unusual or atypical problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment with senior management and peers
- Strong preference for experience in the engineering and construction industry.
- Legal research training preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of business organization law, parliamentary rules, and related legal documents.
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Experience with complex filing systems including hard copy and electronic.
- Advanced knowledge of internet legal research tools.
- Word processing and database skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Action Oriented.
- Strong customer focus.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years corporate law or paralegal experience required
- Experience reviewing and redlining contracts
- Corporate registration experience required

Certifications
