Description

**This position may be filled as a Financial Analyst I, II, or III depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.**

Job Summary/Purpose

Entergy's Treasury team seeks to raise external funds needed to support the business, to safeguard Entergy's cash, and to maintain liquidity at all business units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities will be dependent upon the level at which the position is filled and may include some of the following:

  • Invest money pool cash daily in accordance with established investment strategy and the short-term cash investment policy statement. Complete monthly and quarterly reporting for money pool investments. Update investment policy statement and Money Pool Agreement annually or as needed.
  • Compile 90-day cash forecast for Money Pool participants, track actuals, and perform variance analysis. Translate monthly PE data into daily cash forecast. Identify forecasted liquidity shortfalls and raise to management's attention. Lead meetings with key stakeholders to facilitate information sharing.
  • Process preferred dividends quarterly.
  • Negotiate and maintain external credit facilities including borrowing and repaying loans, paying interest and fees, and managing letters of credit issued under the facilities. Secure funding as needed through Entergy's commercial paper program.
  • Maintain user access to Treasury roles within PeopleSoft and maintain documentation required for SOX testing. Support bank and trust account maintenance including assisting users with access to online banking systems and assisting with updates to bank and trust accounts such as signatory changes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as banking partners to facilitate Entergy's access to raising external funds to support the business. Negotiate, document, and issue securities. Oversee compliance with debt covenants.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as FBP, Tax, Legal, Accounting, and Shared Services to break down silos and increase communication across teams. Suggest and implement process improvements to benefit team. Support other Treasury projects and processes as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Desired: MBA

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 0-6 years of business experience in banking, finance, or related field (depending on level at which position is filled).

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment. Ability to analyze problems and create solutions. Ability to understand and solve complex financial transactions. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively. Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position

  • Desired: CPA, CTP, or similar certificates/licenses.

Working Conditions/Essential Functions/Physical Requirements

  • Office environment with minimal physical requirements. Job is currently on-site 3 days per week.
  • As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
