B&W Canada is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Manager, Tool Stores in the province of Ontario.

Job Description Summary

The Manager, Tool Stores manages Cambridge Tool Stores and co-management of Eastern and Western tool locations, to ensure it is efficient and maintains accurate, repaired and maintained inventory of tooling and equipment in quantities sufficient enough to support all construction work across the country.

  • Maintains a safe and healthy work site, supporting and enforcing all B&W HSE policies and procedures.
  • Manage all tools and equipment in Cambridge and co-manages all locations across the country in concert with the Regional Managers.
  • Coordinates the accurate processing of tools and consumables orders for job sites and regional facilities.
  • Manages equipment quality and safety in compliance with Company Policy and Regional, Provincial and Federal regulations.
  • Ensure training for all personnel as required to execute job duties.
  • Performs the sourcing, price negotiations and supply of new tools, equipment and consumables.
  • Coordinates third-party rentals and external services in support of regional and job sites requirements.
  • Oversees the storage, use and disposal of hazardous goods and waste chemicals.
  • Manage cost center budget and monthly expenses for Tool Stores.
  • Manage department performance and maintains Key Performance Indicators for Tool Stores.
  • Create and enforces policies and procedures relating to warehousing, security and facilities related activities.
  • Position is expected to work on the floor when required; including but not limited to: picking, sorting, packing, receiving and shipping. This will be a short-term requirement when work load exceeds staffing levels

Qualifications

Education and/or Relevant Experience

Associate's Degree in Warehouse or Project Management or 5-7 years of warehouse management experience in a distribution or multi-facility environment preferred.

Candidate Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Multi-tasking and detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management processes and procedures.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Lift truck operator certification (class one and class four preferred).
  • Inventory management experience utilizing (WMS or ERP) applications such as ToolHound.
  • General knowledge of construction equipment, welding technologies and heavy rigging preferred.
