Purpose
As a Lineworker, you'll play a crucial role in our transmission and distribution operations, working with a crew under the guidance of experienced leaders.

Accountabilities
- Perform all classes of transmission and distribution line work as assigned to a crew under the direction of a Foreman or Supervisor of higher grade
- Respond to emergency call-out's
- Demonstrate expertise acquired through apprenticeship and experience to execute Lineworker responsibilities
- Collaborate with a Troubleman, following guidelines for the Troubleman classification when assigned to work under their direction
- Work independently or as a member of a two-person crew, undertaking tasks such as framing poles, preassembling material, patrolling and inspecting pole and tower lines, testing and inspecting poles, repairing risers and ground molding, pulling slack in anchor guys, and replacing guy guards
- Ability to work as a two-person crew, without supervision, when partnered with a one-year apprentice Lineman or higher
- Take primary distribution voltage readings, installing Cooperative-owned customer outdoor lighting service and street light fixtures, installing customer services (including underground services with self-contained meters), and operating line trucks and fixed/attached equipment
- Drive the line truck and operate fixed and attached equipment as required
- Keep accurate timecards and material records when necessary, ability to use SAP tool
Education and Experience
- Class A Lineman ticket from IBEW required
- Journeyman Lineman with a background of apprenticeship and experience
- Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with skill and efficiency
- Experience working with and without supervision, both individually and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and CDL Class A license
