Duties/responsibilities:
- Coordinate the people and processes that create, manage, describe, and use PGE's data to maximize value for the company and customers

Work with business units to understand, implement and administer PGE's data governance policies

Lead the development of data management framework in alignment with business needs, existing tools, corporate data management policies

Create written documentation of functional requirements, operational procedures, and "as-built" solutions

Analyze automated reports to identify source of data quality issues; work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve said issues

Interface with other department COEs, IT, vendors, and team- and department-level management
-
Act as Technical Data Steward to support curation of data lineage & business catalogs across the enterprise.

Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, and other IT change management best practices in order to collaborate with technical data custodians

Ability to question the current state of existing data quality and data models, should have an investigative mindset

Characteristics:

Superior organization and written communication skills

Willingness to learn new numerous software systems and business practices

Proficient in organizational change management or project management, especially interfacing with and winning support from operational stakeholders

Proficient in process management practices to facilitate documentation of process inputs & outputs to support known use cases

Familiarity with energy markets, ISO/RTOs, power transmission scheduling (eTags or OASIS)

Familiarity with financial processes (settlement, financial reporting) and financial system best practices

Familiarity with Scrum or another Agile development process a plus, but not required
Software: Experience with at least three of the following

An OASIS system (preference for OATI)

An energy trading risk management (ETRM) system (OpenLink/ION's Endur a plus, but not required)

Time-series or SCADA database (preference for OSIsoft's PI System)
-
Commercially available ETL systems, strategies, and best practices
-
ISO/RTO bidding and analysis tools (PowerCost Inc. a plus)

SQL (Oracle, Microsoft, and Snowflake)

Tableau, Power BI or other visualization software (nice to have)

Visio or equivalent schematic or documentation software (nice to have)
