Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
- Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
- Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
- Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Setup machines in accordance with job routings, set-up sheets, tooling drawings, component blueprints, and verbal instructions.
- Perform all required testing, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc.
- Align with all safety and work instructions.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises.
Required Skills - External
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
- Ability to read and comprehend machine (G-code) programming (machinist positions).
- Use of precision measurement tool and gauges.
- Shop math and ability to complete calculations using handbook formulas.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (for machinist positions):
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in Machine Trades or Tool & Die. Journeyman Machinists encouraged to apply.
- 2 - 3 years proven experience working with CNC machinery, such as mills, lathes, or grinders.
