What does an Entry Physical Security Analyst - Operations do for us?
With some oversight the Entry Physical Security Analyst, with a focus area of security technology, is responsible for the physical protection of IPC assets using security technology tools and assisting with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the comprehensive physical security technology program. This position is also responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, prioritizing, and repairing physical security technologies and hardware deployments.

A COMPETITIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Knowledge of:
- Asset protection as defined by ASIS International
- Law enforcement agencies in the Idaho Power service area
- Microsoft Office software and computer applications
Preferred:
- Utility structure and compliance requirements
- Genetec security platform and technologies or other VMS/Access Control platforms
- Access control systems and hardware
- CCTV systems and hardware
Skills in:
- Applying qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to identify root and contributing causes to physical security technology issues
- Physical security technology designs and implementations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build relationships
Ability to:
- Apply sound business practices and economic principles to ensure efficient use of resources and improve physical security processes
- Encourage active participation of stakeholders (e.g., employees, management, vendors, contractors) in formulating and implementing physical security technologies
- Learn and adapt quickly to new software and hardware platforms used in the course and scope of the physical security technology role
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, information technology, or related field
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- 1 year of demonstrated corporate security operations and/or technology experience
Preferred:
- 2 or more years demonstrated professional corporate security operations and/or technology experience
- Experience working with physical security technology platforms
- Experience working with internal communication networks and hardware
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
Preferred:
- APP - Associate Protection Professional
- PSP - Physical Security Professional
- CPP - Certified Protection Professional
