Job Function Summary

In this role, you'll manage PGE's municipal partners with a strong focus on educating municipalities on PGE T&D operations related to execution of their capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relations- Manages municipal accounts who have complex technical distribution systems and needs; builds strategic partnerships to ensure highly productive and high-value customer relationships; ensuring that PGE is meeting all customer needs and expectations so that PGE is held in the highest regard; develops relationships with the customer's decision-makers; provides exceptional service, technical guidance, leadership, expertise and creative solutions; educates customers about the various rates and regulatory environment, tariffs, service improvements and new development opportunities; facilitate opportunities to improve permitting processes.
Customer Intelligence- Develops and maintains thorough understanding of the municipal customer's needs and future plans; gathers critical information about their interests and key industries so that better products to meet customer needs can be developed.

Strategic Plans- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to for complex development projects for each municipality; supports initiatives for process and other improvements that impact the team or impact key municipalities at a group level; packages and
delivers innovative solutions.
Customer Service Assessment- Analyzes and evaluates PGE's on-time delivery for both design and construction for customers in the portfolio, advocates for cost-effective improvements and solves problems.
Internal Relations- Coordinates with internal PGE personnel as necessary (e.g., billing, rates, contracts, construction, outages and reliability) to respond to all customer needs; serves as the internal PGE expert for the customer and advocates for customer needs; works with internal PGE partners on issue resolution,
program development, policy development and proposal evaluation; briefs management on major customer issues and developments for municipality capital projects and new load development.

Project Controls Coordinates with Capital to maintain formal controls, manage and monitor project budget, scope, quality, schedule and risks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and effectively. Negotiates necessary project changes with project sponsor. Maintains, adjusts and updates project plans as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement Develops communication plans and strategies; provides timely, accurate communication of project plans and status to stakeholders.

Process Improvement Leads and/or facilitates business process improvement activities; assists managers and subject matter experts to identify, understand and improve or revise processes, practices and policies; assists managers in establishing process controls in order to measure baseline and post-improvement performance to monitor success of improvement initiatives.

Project Reporting and Documentation Follows program governance to ensure all project documents are catalogued and archived in a secure and efficient manner; documents and files all "lessons learned" along with all project artifacts.

Education/Experience/Certifications

Education Education Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or other related field or equivalent experience. Experience Typically five or more years in an electric utility, account management or related field.
