PSE's Treasury team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Financial Analyst II - Treasury position!

Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Description

Assists with and performs quantitative and qualitative analyses related to short-, mid- and long-term financial plans for PSE and its parent companies, as well as analytics associated with resource additions, corporate performance drivers and various strategic initiatives.

Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operation and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.

Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.  Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs daily treasury management functions, including: electronic funds transfers, day-to-day
  • banking issue resolution, accounting entries and transactions documentation, and planning for
  • and/or execution of short-term borrowing and investment transactions to meet daily operating cash
  • requirements.
  • Analyzes, projects and plans for cash positions.
  • Determines optimal transactions to minimize interest costs, manage cash flows, and maximize
  • investment returns.
  • Works with internal and external partners to resolve treasury or banking issues
  • Prepares required compliance reporting and certifications.
  • Maintains SOX documentation and ensures compliance.
  • Analyzes banking fees and suggests opportunities to optimize banking programs and processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to details, problem solving, and analytical skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA 
  • Applicable Finance Certification (CFA, CPA, CTP)
  • 2+ years of experience working in the gas and/or electric industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and create capacity
  • Ability to drive solutions/decisions beyond area of expertise and proactively addresses potential issues
