Summary
Serve as the strategic partner and advisor to assigned National, Commercial and Industrial Oncor customer accounts. Meaningfully engage with, learn, and stay on top of the business drivers of assigned accounts and proactively advise on impacts related to serve new, energy usage impacted by the strategic plans of assigned customer accounts. Sought out by key leadership within assigned accounts for advice related to possible impacts to energy usage based on the Company's potential or actual plans. Ability to proactively drive actions with little supervision. Exhibit digital leadership skills that embrace disruption, think holistically, inspire and be culturally connected.
The Executive position will serve in a Leadership Role for the LCI organization and/or be a Certified Professional Engineer. This position is also responsible for managing a portfolio that includes the Company's Top 25 revenue accounts. These accounts will require a strong working knowledge of distribution and transmission systems operation and design in order to manage very complex customer inquiries.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Develop and update an Account Plan for each assigned account, inclusive of periodic objectives/targets/accountabilities for interaction with each Account.
- Proactively engage with these accounts as a strategic partner, developing relationships at the right level in order to make an impact.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships throughout the business communities to ensure that all issues (i.e., Customers, Communities, Oncor, etc.) are part of a balanced operating environment and deliver a broader level of customer service.
- Conduct a proactive, continuing dialogue with an assigned group of commercial, industrial and national account customers regarding significant business strategies, plans and activities including but not limited to, construction, relocation, expansion and maintenance activities, planned outages and vegetation management.
- Proactively communicate with an assigned group of commercial, industrial and national account customers during system events and coordinate with internal partners to bring attention to critical public safety issues during these events.
- Develop and maintain effective internal relationships and proactively communicate in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction as well as Oncor business objectives.
- Proactively, provide commercial and industrial operational intelligence to internal partners to help represent and resolve the concerns of the Assigned Customer.
- Prioritize and manage involvement in selected trade organizations, to achieve Oncor business objectives while ensuring the company is a good community partner.
- Enthusiastically and knowledgeably conveys Oncor brand messages and improves Oncor brand awareness.
- Enthusiastically and knowledgably educate both internal and external stakeholders about Oncor product features and their benefits.
- Utilize the key relationships with leaders in the business community in order to advocate important Company positions and initiatives, as directed by Governmental and External Affairs.
- Provide after hours and weekend accessibility for your Key Accounts.
- Stay current on company and industry news, initiatives and emerging events to be an effective advocate for Oncor and advisor and partner to assigned accounts.
- Performs all essential functions and aspects of the job including any other specific job requirements.
Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School diploma GED or equivalent with 3+ years of utility experience is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in dealing with highly technical commercial customers as well as local/state regulatory/governing bodies are a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Oncor's Regulatory, Measurement, Transmission, and Distribution objectives is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and proactively manage a portfolio of complex issues and initiatives.
- Ability to establish and maintain highly effective relationships with assigned business accounts, associated groups and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex subject matter to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and advise customers
- Ability to understand and effectively articulate business drivers for various industries.
- Ability to proactively manage customer relationships in an advisory manner
Account Manager
- High School diploma GED or equivalent with 3+ years of utility experience is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Account Manager Senior
- College undergraduate degree preferred or 5 years utility experience with high school diploma.
- Three to five years of Account Manager experience or similar experience is required or a PE Certificate.
Account Manager Executive
- College undergraduate degree preferred or 7 years utility experience with high school diploma.
- Five to Seven years of Account Manager experience or similar experience required or a PE Certificate.
