Description
Reporting to the Manager, Customer Connections Intake, the Asset Investment Analyst will provide a wide range of engineering support services that will ensure technical soundness, reliability, safety and cost effectiveness of the utility and its Electrical Distribution Power System. The Asset Investment Analyst is responsible for data management, data analytics and business process improvements related to Customer Connections Intake and Key Account Services pertaining to climate action projects. The incumbent will play a critical role in supporting Toronto Hydro's customers long-term climate action goals through collection of data, trending analysis, business process planning and stakeholder collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the primary point of contact to assist with incoming communications from all channels (i.e. incoming customer requests from Contact Centre, Customer Connections portal, proxy email addresses for external service requests) related to customer connections (and general inquires received through the customer connections online channels) and actively supports climate action related activities
- Plays significant role in supporting the strategic development of climate action reporting across Customer Connections and Key Accounts departments by leading working groups across business units to drive business process improvements and system implementation initiatives
- Creates a repository of centralized reporting to track and maintain records and reports for relevant customer connections requests and update the climate action team for decarbonisation and electrification related requests. Assists in processing and updating all related systems as required to maintain a strong link to the database, CRM, CC&B and GIS system to record the energy transition
- Develops reports, maps, analysis, and supports data quality programs to improve the accuracy of asset data; contributes to information management policy and procedure developments and supports data management to improve the quality and reliability of data
- Validates, manipulates and exports data for quality and completeness
- Conducts analysis involving large data sets and multiple variables in response to data needs, and supports Asset Records by improving the quality of data within Toronto Hydro
- Runs periodic checks on database tables to ensure that the data is valid and consistent
- Performs analysis of process and system changes to identify and communicate impacts
- Develops process maps and workflow visualizations to support strategic decision making
- Assesses and manages risk and issues specific to CRM application implementation and/or upgrades
- Performs data profiling to produce data quality metrics and assesses associated risks involved in integrating or converting data for new applications
- Participates and collaborates with various internal stakeholders
- Provides timely technical support and consultation, demonstrates effective project management and process efficiencies; reviews, develops and/or presents business proposals, plans, designs, processes, operational procedures and practices
- Investigates and evaluates the application of new technologies and tools
REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree (strongly preferred in field of Engineering, Electrical, Energy, Environmental Studies, or related discipline)
- Three (3) years of experience in a combination of data management, process optimization, analysis for business projects, identification of areas for improvement and development of new information quality improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Fully proficient in the use of the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Access, Project, Visio and Dynamics 365 (CRM)
- Solid understanding of relational database systems, possess the ability to transform raw data in different formats into various analytical reports
- Experience with Python/R, Alteryx, SQL, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Tableau considered an asset
- Project management designation considered an asset
