JOB SUMMARY

The Treasury Analyst II supports the Finance Administration department by assisting with the company's cash transactions and daily cash forecasting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Share responsibility for wire transfers (i.e., vendors, bond payments, transfers between investment institutions, inter-fund transfers, etc.)
-Ensure accurate settlement and reconciliation of payments in a timely manner.
-Support month-end closing and reporting activities.
-Support with communication between EPB and external actuary regarding defined benefit pension transactions and employee-specific disbursements.
-Communicate between EPB, the external 401(k) Administrator, and other financial institutions as needed.
-Assist with researching and reconciling erroneous or suspect transactions.
-Provide ongoing analytical and transaction research support.
-Maintain timely and accurate transactional data.
-Support month-end closing and reporting activities.
-Work with the Finance Administrator and Director of Treasury on local funding arrangements, liquidity analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
-Stay relevant to treasury developments, industry trends, and market changes.
-Perform special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
-3-5 years related and/or equivalent experience and/or training.
-Demonstrated PC skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Understanding of cash flow and disbursement process.
-Experience reconciling cash transactions, researching and identifying suspicious transactions, researching cash flows through multiple systems, working with external contacts, and communicating clearly.

-Banking experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

-Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in state of residence and demonstrate safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles.
-Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles.
-Mathematical and analytical abilities are required.
-Effective interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
-Capable of managing and completing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
-Ability to consider various alternatives in arriving at the best solutions.
-Ability to learn various reporting systems.
-Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
