Description

Summary

The Transmission Development, Policy & Contracts (TDP&C) department is responsible for advocating and representing PGE in regional transmission forums, committees, and workgroups.  The team is also responsible for OASIS administration and OATT contract development, including interconnections.  TDP&C is also responsible for maintaining compliance with the OATT.

This position will stand up new functionality for the group in support of market operations and regional transmission development. The complexity of the changing transmission grid requires new, more comprehensive transmission analyses. This new paradigm requires robust regional partner and stakeholder collaboration and engagement and an unprecedented level of transparency to plan the transmission system. It is important for PGE to use production cost modeling analysis to ensure we are making the right decisions and investments for our customers.

About the role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Cost Modeling Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will implement strategic transmission goals, including supporting Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) and Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) activities.  You will also be supporting a more robust transmission analysis for our Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), supporting financial analysis for regional transmission investments, and enabling more expansive west-wide analysis that will strengthen PGE's advocacy efforts with regional peers (e.g., BPA, etc.). This position will also help ensure compliance with FERC Order 1920.
