Summary

Leads the development of protocols and best practices for conducting resource analyses to inform resource selection and resource decisions. Oversees the implementation of resource analyses and recommendations to executive management to ensure consistent implementation and documentation of best practices. Retrieves, analyzes and summarizes business, operations, customer and/or economic data in order to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes. Communicate analytical results and recommendations to various levels of SRP management and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Develops answers to complex, open-ended questions involving significant uncertainty and ambiguity with meaningful economic and operational implications
  • Develops and maintains protocols and best practices for resource assessments in alignment with industry
  • Performs as leader on important projects utilizing simulation models incorporating advanced mathematical, econometric, statistical and probability techniques to understand complex resource decisions and operations
  • Leads resource investigations & feasibility assessments for future resource options to inform SRP's resource strategy to meet load requirements amidst dynamic economic, regulatory, and technology developments
  • Leads and reviews resource assessments for consistency with established protocols and best practices 
  • Leads planning and analysis support for annual implementation plan identified through the development of the annual resource plan and integrated annual plan
  • Leads project teams using SRP's long-term production cost model to inform recommendations and directs work activities of project team analysts, related functional areas, and outside technical research vendors
  • Familiar with stochastic and deterministic analysis methods techniques to predict outcomes and evaluate economic, operational, and statistical impacts of future business decisions
  • Presents results in a clear concise manner that decision makers can act on with confidence
  • Prepares/analyzes/interprets technical reports to executive management using oral and written communication techniques and graphic visual aids

Experience

10 years of relevant analytical professional experience

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution plus an additional 18 graduate level college credits in an area of specialty.
