Facility Supervisor

Salary Grade: G05
Minimum  Midpoint  Maximum
$86,016 - $116,120 - $146,226

This position is covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards.  Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check.  Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.


SUMMARY:

Manages facilities for PNMR. Coordinates site resources in accordance with project deliverables and timelines, including Bldg. maintenance, capital improvement initiatives and critical infrastructure maintenance & repair.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages, plans and directs the facilities management program

Coordinates the maintenance, renovation, and upgrade of existing building infrastructures to include critical facility sites governed by NERC CIP and corporate security protocols

Works with management, project PM's, Sourcing analysts, architects, and design engineers to develop and initiate processes aimed at achieving best practices, improving building system performance, and maximizing efficiencies and reliability

Oversees day-to-day management of the safe operation and maintenance of the real property assets and applies advanced knowledge and understanding of industry to develop short and long term operational and funding requirements

Maintains building equipment systems in accordance with regulatory, environmental and safety compliance mandates including local, state federal and OSHA requirements, working directly with local authorities (i.e., Fire department, Zoning and permitting officials, etc.) for enforcement of property and building codes

Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with peers and operations management to ensure optimum use of resources, budgets, priorities, and schedules for maintenance of site and building while optimizing production and ensuring an accident-free workspace

Works extensively with HR, Corporate Security and General Contractor management to coordinate NERC/CIP training protocols and badge access approvals. These are time consuming but highly important endeavors for our high criticality locations such as Data Center and Power Operations facilities.

COMPETENCIES:

Must possess strong business, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to review, interpret and articulate moderately complex information to diverse (technical & non-technical) audiences.

Proven experience in a project lead role

Extensive knowledge and experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics

Comprehensive knowledge of building techniques and procedures

Expert understanding of the function and repair of mechanical equipment as related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls


QUALIFICATIONS                   

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with seven to eight years related experience including two years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the management of large commercial/industrial building complexes with fundamental knowledge of building systems, sequence of operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building management systems and general knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, IBC compliance requirements.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Licensed and/or certified in a primary trade, i.e., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. preferred.

Must possess a current, legally valid drivers license and meet the companys driving record requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for directing all department activities which includes crafts, technical and professional personnel. Develops individual standards as they relate to overall business objectives. Personnel management issues (hiring, firing, disciplinary measures, etc.) are dealt with in accordance with established HR polices. Higher level guidance/approval is generally sought for unique situations which could have legal implications.
