Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare job sites for safe operation
- Frequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.
- Excavate site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety procedures
- Installation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion/electrofusion.
- Perform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.
- Operate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
*Senior Level: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities
Successful Candidate Must Have:
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Construction & Maintenance Tech: 0 years of experience and the ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 1 year of hire through company-provided paid training
- Sr. Construction & Maintenance Tech: 3 years of experience, a CDL, and Journeyman Gas Fitter's License (JGL) dependent on location
- Preferences: Commercial Driver's License (CDL), welding experience, experience operating heavy equipment such as a backhoe, and utility work experience.
