The Opportunity
TC Energy's Pipeline Integrity (PI) department is evolving to meet the needs of a newly combined gas pipeline business and the PI Program Optimization team is seeking an experienced Pipe Integrity Engineer to lead the development, prioritization, and optimization of the program within a geographic area of responsibility.
** Position can be based in either Houston or Calgary**
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of the Pipe Integrity Program across technical disciplines, ensuring consistency & alignment with corporate goals and objectives.

Manage the multi-year work list for PI, ensuring that plan for each asset is optimized, constraints are identified, and risks are communicated.

Support the development of the PI program budget, including risk-based prioritization to maximize the impact on asset integrity and performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations & Projects, to gather and analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the PI program.

Support the development and implementation of standardized processes, tools, and metrics to track constraints, monitor the performance of the PI program, identify areas for improvement, and communicate program status & risks to key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.

For Canadian candidates, registered as a P.Eng in the prevailing jurisdiction in good standing (e.g., APEGA in Alberta).

Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline integrity management, with a strong understanding of pipeline risk, integrity assessments and remediation.

Proven track record of leading multi-year, cross-functional projects and programs

Experience in risk-based decision-making, data analysis, economic analysis and alternatives analysis.

Strong leadership with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.

Experience in operations planning or projects would be an asset.
