Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County. HYDRO ROVING OPERATOR
$102,475 - $130,784 annually, DOQ, plus excellent benefits
Please note: This position may be eligible for stand-by pay that is in addition to the salary range listed. Stand-by pay for this classification, while not guaranteed in any amount, could potentially include up to an additional $15,000 per year in compensation.
PCWA is seeking an experienced journey-level Hydro Plant Operator to perform a variety of operations, monitoring and control functions related to the Agency’s multi-purpose hydroelectric project and related facilities. Our ideal candidate will be a journey-level operator with at least two years of progressively responsible experience; completion of a hydroelectric operator apprenticeship or training program is highly desirable.
