Alliant Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Infrastructure Analyst in Madison, Wisconsin or Cedar Rapids, Iowa! In this role you will serve as a liaison between the IT Infrastructure group and other areas of IT and business units for the larger, capital development and the implementation and improvements of new and existing data communications and network systems. In addition, you will plan, design, analyze and support sophisticated data communications and networks.
Responsibilities-
Coordinates departmental projects and the design, evaluation, recommendation, building, testing and maintenance of medium to large computing services and writes specification documents for these systems.

Responds to support tickets and resolves technical issues through the Help Desk within specified timeframes, uses troubleshooting tools and procedures to resolve issues, and maintains defined service levels.

Provides leadership and mentorship for resolution of moderate to sophisticated operational issues.

Complies with local, state, and government regulations such as SOX, NERC CIP, FERC, and TSA.

Maintains disaster recovery plans and coordinates the planning and execution of disaster recovery drills.

Leads creation and maintenance of documentation related to hardware/software in client computing environment as well as training materials for end users.

Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.

Participates in the usage of Agile processes to gather requirements, develop solutions, and deliver products.

Assists other teams and helps manage relationships with outside vendors.

Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Required Qualifications:

6 years of experience in telecommunications, data networks, or information technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related area.

Knowledge and familiarity with network and voice technologies (i.e. unified messaging, VoIP, Cisco networking equipment, TCP/IP, multi-platform networks, etc.). Proficient in Visio.

Experience with technical project management work in telecom, data networking areas.
