Responsibilities 

  • Reporting to and supporting the SVP & Chief Digital Officer providing counsel and guidance to AltaGas leaders on Digital / Information Technology and its impact across the full range of business strategy, programs, products and services and operations 
  • Partnering with AltaGas leaders & stakeholders to develop and drive strategic execution in support of the business strategy, determining acceptable levels of service and risk for the organization and developing and maintaining digital roadmaps that enable delivery  
  • Working within a matrix structure providing local leadership and oversight for the Digital function within AltaGas Midstream and Corporate business areas, and partnering with other members of the Digital team to ensure demand, delivery and sustainment of all Digital services including innovation, engineering, data science, business process mgmt. (BPM) and applications management
  • Partnering with AltaGas leaders to proactively implement practices with other members of the team to build and maintain a Digital organization capable of successfully executing the Digital roadmaps 
  • Partnering with the Corporate Services functions to manage finances, vendors, procurement, resource capacity, performance, value, and communications 
  • Employing a tailored risk-based and pragmatic approach, collaborating with AltaGas leaders, and with the DLT, to successfully execute the Digital roadmaps in the form of programs, projects, and other ad hoc initiatives across the Enterprise

Experience & Qualifications 

  • 8 or more years of progressively increasing and diverse IT leadership experience, incl. a mix of solution delivery, applications management, infrastructure & operations, architecture, software engineering, cybersecurity, and IT risk and controls 
  • Demonstrated success accessing and influencing c-Suite stakeholders with a track record of successful collaboration on business strategy and capital planning processes  
  • Progressive management experience with demonstrated ability to successfully build and retain high-performing teams and developing leadership in others through coaching, mentoring and guiding employees 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Finance business processes, as well as other Corporate support functions: Legal, Regulatory, CorpCom, EHS, Supply Chain, HR, etc.  
  • Demonstrated successful experience reviewing and assessing Digital operating models ensuring alignment between current state and future business needs and recommending/proposing changes proactively to maintain and advance support
  • Prior Midstream business experience, with expertise in one or more domains: Commercial Trading & Risk Management, Logistics (Truck, Rail, Ship), Plant Operations would be a plus
  • Experience tracking and leading M&A activities at enterprise scale is a plus 
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience; professional certifications are a plus
