You'll be part of the HVAC Service team that services heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment in residential homes. An installer position is fast-paced and is physically demanding.

What you'll do as an HVAC Technician

  • Service heating, air conditioning, ventilation equipment and other products, following all safety rules and manufacturer specifications
  • Identify, wire, and start-up complete residential systems
  • Troubleshoot, recommend, and resolve/repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly
  • May perform start-ups, testing & recording results for each system during start-up to ensure the system is functioning properly
  • Perform proper inspection of system and inform dispatch/customer of any outstanding concerns
  • Explain each service and repair performed to dispatch/customer
  • Directly coordinate with office for day-to-day work schedule
  • Facilitate orders for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service
  • Transport parts, materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned items
  • Debrief all service(s) provided with dispatch/customer after each service call with respective documentation
  • Inspection of area for cleanliness after job completion
  • Maintain company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out
  • Abide by all company standards of performance and code of ethics
  • Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates
  • Ensure all foot ware has protective floor savers while working in client home
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Complete paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough and timely manner
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
Minimum qualifications and what you'll need to be able to do

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work at heights and use a ladder
  • Have prior HVAC service experience
  • Able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Comfortable in small, confined spaces like attics
  • Able to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions while wearing PPE
  • Go up and down stairs
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and organizational standards
  • Able to use a computer for basic tasks
  • Communicate and read in English
  • Have a valid driver's license and able to drive to and from job sites
