Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing accounting processes and special accounting projects as directed by the Senior Vice President and Chief Accountant and Vice President and Controller of Operations Accounting.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Coordinates the accounting department monthly and quarterly close process including (i) establishing close calendars, (ii) running daily updates of close status with key team members and working to find a prompt resolution, (iii) manages auditor request and (iv) assist internal audit in ensuring SOX control performance is on time
Work with HR and accounting management to manage all contractors and team hiring in Workday
Establish and run an accounting internship program designed to develop a pipeline of newly graduated employees to the organization
Accumulate and work with the accounting leadership team to prioritize accounting improvement projects
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience in a large complex public company or in public accounting
Understanding of GAAP and SEC regulations
Knowledge of business process design and controls
Forward thinking and innovative, self-starter
High ethics and trustworthiness and drive for success
