Description
Primary Purpose
Develops, maintains, and supports information collaboration and retention for the Tax Department, and other departments as requested. Certain office management duties are required as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Assists Tax Management.
  • Researches and manages tax resources, subscriptions and training materials.
  • Acts as back-up on CITTS (Power Tax) system.

SharePoint Development and Administration

  • Maintains appropriate individual training on Microsoft SharePoint functionality.
  • Acts as key contact for all user groups, both, within Tax, and for other departments collaborating with Tax.
  • Initiates research on ways to improve efficiency and add new functionality. (Google, YouTube).
  • Provides advice and recommendations on Share Point set-up to groups outside of Tax, based on departmental implementation experience.
  • Maintains integrity of the system and all document libraries.
  • Works with users to ensure functionality is working as expected.
  • Creates libraries/lists/forms at users' request/updating current libraries and lists.
  • Recommends solutions for various Tax Department efficiency and reengineering efforts. Reviews larger scale improvements with Tax Department Share Point Advising Team. Implements smaller-scale changes.
  • Provides solution-oriented training and consulting to Corporate groups outside of Tax Department.
  • Maximizes benefits of Sempra enterprise-wide implementation of Share Point platform, as it relates to Corporate Tax and other Corporate functions.
  • Liaisons directly with internal Sempra IT managers regarding Share Point enterprise-wide infrastructure development.
  • Provides formal and informal project status and communications to management and users of departmental systems.
  • Monitors and prioritizes user requests, based on delivery of future releases.
  • Ensures system and process complies with SOX control requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's degree in records management technology, library science, tax, business, related field or equivalent training and/or experience, required.
  • College courses/vocational training in records management, library science or accounting, preferred. 

Experience

  • 4 years of records management, document control, or related work experience, required.
  • Experience with budgets and related variance analysis, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in computer software applications with experience and intermediate level training with Share Point.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire. 
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
