Description
Job Summary

Responsible for the development, implementation, continuous monitoring, refining of protocols, data collection, and data analysis to ensure efficient operation of Materials Management in support of Centralized Services.

Leads the Operations Security and Focused Area Self-Assessment processes within Materials Management by assisting and routinely testing compliance with specific protocols in the Materials Management processes in order to achieve full SOX compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Audit all storeroom locations, collect data, analyze and formally report results on a quarterly basis. 
  • Develop each quarterly SOX Control Testing Plan & Schedule for Materials Management.
  • Initiate and organize meetings with Internal Audit & Internal Controls to advance process improvements, SOX Optimization, deadlines, and other concerns of Materials Management. 
  • Gather and link data from diverse sources in order to perform analyses, identify trends and correlations, develop and track metrics, identify performance gaps, deliver actionable information and present opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate weekly flash reports that summarize inventory counts completed, inventory value changes and personnel availability and overtime.
  • Review Monthly Inventory Accuracy Reports in support of accurate reporting and accurate representation of the underlying operating process compliance.
  • Provide Support on issues arising from internal or external audit reviews, testing, and accounting.
  • Interface personally with both internal customers such as directors, managers, storeroom supervisors, bargaining unit personnel and external customers such as vendors and business partners on all inventory supply chain matters.
  • Monitor open inventory transfers to completion by communicating with field supervisors
  • Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies within assigned areas.
  • As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. You may also be required to work in an alternate location

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience
  • Ability to prepare thoughtful decision support by gathering, transforming and analyzing data to develop and document conclusions and / or recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with Pivot Tables, Vlookups etc.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Finance modules, e.g. FI/CO and MM.
  • Detail oriented, driven and able to effectively work independently.
  • Must have and maintain Consulting or operational experience demonstrating client relationship skills
  • Must have a valid U. S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Travel to Company locations is required. (approximately 20%)

Desired:

  • Experience with Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley Controls
  • Broad based experience and knowledge of PSE&G inventory processes
  • Experience with Microsoft BI
  • Comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations to a variety of audiences and facilitating joint union/management process improvement teams
