SEMCO - Sr. Energy Efficiency Program Specialist
As an Sr. Energy Efficiency Program Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Company's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Under general supervision, you will provide project management, coordination, and support for the implementation of SEMCO's portfolio of energy efficiency (EE) and emissions reduction programs. Works jointly with internal departments and external stakeholders to carry out strategic initiatives and contribute to EE program success.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide technical and administrative support for EE programs delivering energy savings and emissions reductions for the Company's customers.
Oversee program implementer activity to ensure contractual obligations for work scope, data management, data privacy, and reporting are met.
Support outreach and awareness efforts to customers and participating contractors and trade allies.
Proactively monitor and analyze program implementation and effectiveness, while providing recommendations related to improving progress towards program goals and objectives.
Processes EE program invoices and tracks expenditures against monthly and annual budget forecasts.
Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to provide program training and awareness; along with identifying ongoing projects suitable to participate in EE programs.
Support the development of new and innovative EE programs.
Develop and contribute to reports and deliverables as required.
Prepare written testimony, present evidence, respond to discovery, and testify as needed in EE regulatory filings before the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Maintain strong working knowledge related to energy issues, industry trends, codes & standards, and emerging technologies within the EE sector by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing a personal network.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree business, engineering, economics, environmental policy or related field preferred
5+ Years experience in any combination of the following: energy efficiency program/project management, policy design; experience with or demonstrated working knowledge of regulatory process and procedures; experience in or working knowledge of the natural gas industry. required
Working knowledge of EE certifications, rebates, or programs.
Working knowledge of contracts or experience with vendor management.
Demonstrated experience in EE program implementation.
Working knowledge of state regulatory procedures and policies that impact EE programs in Michigan.
Prior work experience in developing ESG policies/procedures.
Prior track record of achieving measurable outcomes in energy efficiency or corporate sustainability initiatives.
Certification(s) in Energy Management or related field.
Ability to work effectively as a member of various teams in a matrixed environment, which may include company personnel, project resources, and third-party/outsourced vendors.
Demonstrated successful project management experience.
Ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse internal and external audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in various personal computer business software applications currently utilized by the Company, with a quick ability to learn new systems.
Strong organizational, analytical, and judgment skills, with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.
Foster a positive work environment by engaging effectively with colleagues, customers, vendors, and management.
Prioritize safety by adhering to established safety standards and promptly reporting potential hazards.

In addition to our standard benefits package, the estimated base salary for this role will range from $82,000 - $102,500, depending on experience.
