The Supervisor will coordinate between Operations and Maintenance groups of who work in the individual plants. - Responsible for the overall coordination of operations activities.
- Provide feedback on the operational status of plants and systems to the management team making plans for water movement.
- Works with other groups and Supervisors to execute short and long-term production and strategy goals. Keeps apprised of major operational issues and helps prioritize needed system repairs. Participates in regular leadership meetings. Supports peers with issues in maintenance and operations planning.
- Assists the Operations and Maintenance Managers in developing and improving business processes and procedures as needed.
- Ensures safe work practices are implemented in the operation and maintenance of plants and associated systems. Adherence to Work Authorization procedures, Station, and Division Orders, as well as other pertinent processes and procedures.
- Ensures staff are adequately trained and supported. Develops and implements operations training program, ensuring staff remains trained on current technology. Responsible for employee performance; recognizing successes, identifying areas for improvement, conducting formal performance reviews, and providing ongoing coaching.
- Manages the staffing needs of Operations and Maintenance, ensuring the efficient management of shift rotation, overtime, and time off schedules.
- Ensures adherence to the Company's code of conduct and other policies. Reports deviations to the Production Manager. Provides discipline as needed.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Four (4) years or more of combined experience in plant operations/maintenance and/or supervisory experience leading plant operations/maintenance employees.
The preferred
- Experience supervising represented employees who are responsible for the operation of hydro generation assets.
- Experience managing and prioritizing the needs of power plant systems to meet the objectives of the local system operator and regulatory agencies.

- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.
