Position Summary
Responsible for enforcing federal, state, local, and company requirements, as it applies to operations of company facilities and the installation of the piping infrastructure. May serve on a 24-hour call basis.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Responds to incidents, and directs control of incident scene and site investigations, ability to be on call.
Develops and delivers training modules.
Assists training area in determining training needs for new or revised procedures.
Interprets codes, standards, and regulations and uses interpretation to write new or to revise existing procedures.
Performs required inspections of fusion equipment.
Enforces DOT mandated drug-testing policies.
Enters data and downloads audit reports.
Requires the ability to telecommute from home for downloading audit data.
Reports audit results to internal and external customers.
Collects and tracks data required for communicating information and opportunities for reduction of risk to the company.
Interacts with contractors and operating areas by communicating findings that promote appropriate changes in behavior.
Possesses reliable transportation that is able to carry various tools and equipment.
Maintains a valid driver's license and valid certifications as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree or three (3) years procedures development, implementation or administration experience can be used in lieu of education
Minimum two (2) years of technical writing or operating experience
A working knowledge of pipeline safety, OSHA, or local codes and standards
A general knowledge and understanding of natural gas operations
Ability to enter audit data, import digital images using a laptop computer
Ability to present information and interpretation of regulations concisely and effectively to diverse audiences
Ability to write in a logical and concise manner
Ability to establish excellent rapport and mutual respect with business partners to effectively carry out work responsibilities
Must be able to organize and document detailed data
Ability to research and interpret related resource information from the Operating & Maintenance procedures, Design & Construction standards, the Emergency Manual, and other regulatory documents
