Summary

The IT Infrastructure Analyst I/II/III provides technical and administrative support services for APS CIP compliance technology assets which may include these functions: Computer system management: System analysis; Vendor negotiations; Budget monitoring, input and analysis; Systems design and modification; Management of NERC CIP compliance operations; and day-to-day infrastructure technical support.

Minimum Requirements

Level I

  • Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 1 year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

  • Requires basic technical subject matter knowledge within a job area or system

Level II

  •  Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 2 year2 of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

  •  Requires technical subject matter knowledge within a job area or system

Level III

  • Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

  • Requires strong technical knowledge within a job area or system and basic knowledge across related technical areas.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:

  • Work closely with a team of infrastructure engineers, providing compliance guidance, training, and support to ensure that they can deliver their tasks efficiently and effectively. Establish performance metrics and evaluate the team's performance to ensure that they are meeting the set targets.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders such as regulators, suppliers, and customers. Communicate with stakeholders on project progress, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns they may have.

  • Ensure that all projects are in compliance with relevant CIP regulatory requirements and safety standards. Follow all safety guidelines to identify and avoid potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the organization's capabilities and develop and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Identify best practices and share them across the organization to improve overall performance.

  • Provide ongoing activities and processes that ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Transmission and Distribution applications. Additionally, focus on data correctness and timeliness as this has a significant impact on decision-making processes and the overall success.

  • Ensuring that program activities are properly documented and evaluated and providing regular reports to stakeholders on program outcomes and impact.

  • Compliance adherence is critical to the success of this position. Continued input and a forward lean in attitude toward process evaluation and improvement is necessary for success.

Major Accountabilities

  • Knowledge of infrastructure operating systems and equipment, such as servers, PCs, and emerging technologies; Specifically, any or all the following:
    • Linux Red Hat
    • Nagios
    • Service Now
    • Industrial Defender
    • SigmaFlow
    • Overall able to follow CIP regulatory procedures

  • Troubleshooting and resolution practices; system performance analysis techniques;
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP change management practices
  • Installation, configuration, optimization and maintenance techniques of infrastructure;
  • Windows, VM and Linux servers operations; lifecycle management techniques;
  • Various service and support tools; design techniques for information and operational support systems; security and information data backup strategies;
  • Skill in effective communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Skill in learning complex technical issues and acquiring technical knowledge; quickly learning and applying new technologies
